LIFE
Dario Sciolla leads this company since 1990: after the restoring of the cellar, he started bottling and selling his wines. Today he is supported by his daughters, Chiara regarding marketing and sales and administration, and Irene who works in the vineyards and in the cellar. Wines labels are particular, as they reproduce the 1472 gothic frescos you find in the close chapel of Saint Florence. In this territory the Dolcetto is the main vine.
VINEYARDS
Among Darios vineyards, located at 500 m altitude, we can highlight his cru the San Bernardo, 100 % dolcetto coming from a 45 year old vineyard. This suggestive estate surrounds the IIWW memorial. Then there are the two hectare Cucù vineyard, 20 years old, the Cà Bianca vineyard with dolcetto and merlot, planted half a century ago. Vineyards are conducted in the guyot system and are carefully cultivated, with a a minimised use of pesticides.
WINES
The Langhe Dolcetto 2013 is a typical representative of its typology, fresh and easy to drink, lightly tannic and structured. The Langhe Bianco Livor 2013 is 50% Arneis and 50% Sauvignon, and its refined in steel tanks. It is very fresh and has fruity and floral scents. It is very long and persistent. The Dogliani 2013 is good as well, solid, structured, fruity and mature. The Langhe Rosso Diavolisanti 2010 is a blend of dolcetto and merlot, nicely soft and juicy.
