Dario Sciolla’s business is a family business, which during the years has been able to grow from a quality point of view and to create a distinctive identity. The company is based in one of the most beautiful and less famous parts of the Langhe hills, which is still far from the most frequented roads. Wines’ stylistic profile requires a further refining in the bottle, as the young wines’ characteristics need to be progressively reduced, in order to reach the full tasting performance.
Prices are very competitive and therefore, it is convenient to visit this cellar. Dario Sciolla’s wines have got a good character and often need a long refining in the bottle, to be fully understood.
The Dogliani 2013, has a rich, mellow taste of red berries and leather, and it well represents the essence of a well structured Dolcetto. The Bricco San Bernardo 2011, instead, though it is already in its evolutive progression, it is still finding its perfect harmony.
